2D Animation For Life

         Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is slated to hit theaters April 8th, 2022! New announcement trailer can be found on YouTube at  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQuoffM1y-w          Really enjoyed the first one (once they switched the model to a more accurate version) and am excited to see what they do with the added character of Tails.

          Disney announced that they will be shutting down the Fox property Blue Sky Studios and cancelling in production films in the process.         This studio has put out many different films/franchises that will be missed (Ice Age, Robots, Spies in Disguise). Unfortunately...we will never see the films that were in production at the time of closure (At the time of writing this blerp). 

 Hello everyone.         I love animation...always have, always will! Doesn't matter if its 3D, 2D, Anime, Cartoon, flipbooks etc...I've always been obsessed with the art of moving pictures. But the ones I've always been drawn to (see what I did there) were the Disney animated feature films.  --Disney's Aladdin (1992)--         These films (especially from the "Renaissance" of the Disney hand drawn animation period (1990's) are what made me fall in love with and made me want to spend my life studying and learning from them, trying to copy and emulate them and share with my children too! --Rough animation from Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959)--           Throughout this blog I'll share news that I find interesting in the animation world, things I learn and create while working through my own self teaching process of the craft.
